It is .925 sterling silver base with a 2.5 micron thick 18k gold layer on the outside. Free of nickel, brass, and copper making it 100% hypoallergenic.

Does Vermeil Tarnish?
Gold vermeil does not tarnish. However, some perfumes, hair sprays, alcoholsΒ could have a chemical reaction on the jewelry, making it look tarnished. The good news - it's not tarnished! Use a sterling silver jewelry cleaner (Sterling Dip is my go to) and it will be like brand new.Β
